About this deal

Because the Colourant we're using is water based it takes a few minutes to dry. We therefore advise you to spray one area and then dry it using a hair dryer. Doing it this way reduces the chance of runs. If you do see a run, just dab it off with a cloth or sponge and then re-spray the area.

It is essential to clean thoroughly and remove finishes prior to application. The cleaning required is different depending on the material of the item. In all other instances, or for the best preparation procedure, you should clean the leather with Leather Prep, followed by Alcohol Cleaner. First, you remove the manufactured finish from the leather with the leather prep. This allows the colourants to adhere and penetrate the leather, giving a sound base covering. You then spray on a coloured coating for uniformity and to get a nice natural finish. The job is then sealed in with a professional leather finish. This finish protects and enhances the leather and stops it from wearing out.The extra large kit has been designed for a full car interior (5 seats, door cards, centre console, dash, and all other leather areas) or an entire three piece suite. If applied correctly, the finish/colour provided by the kit can typically be expected to last as long as the original manufacturers finish would taking into account conditions and wear & tear. In all circumstances, we recommended fully cleaning the entire item of leather that you want to repair. Not only is this good practice, but if the leather is dirty, it can cause a freshly repaired area to stand out. Clean the leather using our Leather Cleaner. We have 24 standard colours and hundreds of custom colours including many specific car interior colours. We also offer a colour matching service for an exact match to your leather item. After your leather is deglazed, you're ready to add color. We sell Fiebings dye, which is a penetrating alcohol-based leather dye. It doesn’t hurt to test the dye on a scrap piece to figure out how to achieve your desired color. Two coats right out of the bottle might do, while for others, adding a dye reducer to tone down the color may be preferable. Once you’ve figured out your preference, you can apply the dye.
